Correctional Officer Ronald D. Werner was shot on 9-9-71 during the Attica Prison Riots & died from his injuries on 9-13-71, and a 6-year veteran of the NY State Dept. of Correctional Services. He also was a US Air Force Veteran. He also lost his Uncle Elon Werner, a Prison Civilian Employee during the riots. RIP & thank you for your service.
