Former NFL star Will Smith was shot after a car accident escalated into a verbal argument. Smith's wife was also injured in the shooting. The shooter was not aware of Smith's identity, and, ironically, he actually was a fan of Smith's. Smith played 9 seasons for the New Orleans Saints before retiring in 2012.
