Lost to gun violence on March 7, 2016 in Park Forest, Illinois.
On March 19, 2016, Police Officer Timothy Jones (24) had only been on the Park Forest P.D. for 9 months when he was shot in the Line of Duty that left him paralyzed & other medical issues. He was promoted up to Honorary Detective in July 2021. For nearly 10 years he fought a courageous battle, but sadly passed away on 12-3-25 at the age of 34. Thank you Det. Timothy Jones for your service & RIP.
