Dallas Police Press Release: Homicide at 9000 Sovereign Row On December 21, 2024, at about 5:00 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 9000 block of Sovereign Row. The preliminary investigation determined the victim, 21-year-old Joseph Ortega, was shot by an unknown suspect. DFR responded and the victim died at the scene.
