Lost to gun violence on January 7, 1973 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Deputy Superintendent Louis J. Sirgo was killed by sniper fire along with 2 other patrolman as he lead a team of officers up a dark stairwell to rescue 2 other who were trapped in an elevator. He was a 21-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department & a US Army WWII Veteran. RIP & Thank you for your service.
