Julius "July" Perry, age 51
Lost to gun violence on November 2, 1920 in Ocoee, Florida.
Born about 1868. A prominent Ocoee resident, July Perry was beaten, shot and lynched as a warning to other Black citizens who dared to vote. He was one of the 30 to 80 residents killed and whose homes were burned down during the Ocoee massacre in 1920.
