He was gunned down in the early morning hours of July 4 at the Peachtree Aparments in Clinton Township. A native of Detroit’s Eastside, Mays grew up on Lenox street near Chandler Park and attended Chandler Park Academy. He was known as a hard worker, whether holding jobs at Beaumont Hospital, Comerica Park, or Chrysler, and operating his shoe cleaning business called “SHOElution.” @__shoelution A candlelight vigil will he held in Jaret’s honor tomorrow.
