Abijah was shot around 7 p.m. A witness saw Abijah rolling around on the street in pain and assumed he was having a drug overdose, the witness called 911 and reported a drug overdose. Paramedics arrived under the assumption of a overdose victim. Abijah was loaded into the ambulance, but medics soon realized that Abijah had been shot. Thus medics started a new treatment plan for a gunshot wound. But it was too late, and Abijah died. No arrests have been made."
